The scent of new mown grass is one of the rewards of mowing;
but I think that Aelfy is interested in other things that have gone through the blades...
Some of them don't bear thinking about.
Tantalising maybe, but intangible.
Curiosity satisfied Aelfy loses interest.

Hay making time here, and the foxes are always out the following morning, picking up their minced tit-bits.
Beautiful favourite window, beautiful favourite cat
Cats always like to check things out thoroughly don't they. As Claire said beautiful view and beautiful cat.
Cro Magnon: I like to think the big noisy mower will scare them away before it reaches them, but I watched a wee field mouse one day. It escaped, but at a surprisingly slow pace having to navigate the clumpy long grass. Puts a different slant on the romance of hay-making in your rural France.
Claire: So, which is the window? The view through foliage? Or the single window in the old wall?
And how did you guess Aelfy is my favourite cat? :-)
Susan Heather: I didn't have the camera handy when Aelfy climbed up onto the seat. Manx cats are particularly intelligent and I wouldn't put it past him to steal yet another seat off me and learn to drive!
Ouch, she is brave to put her beautiful nose in there...
Thankfully Aelfy (he) runs a mile when the engine starts up.
cats!
they are drawn to EVERYTHING nearly as much as geese are!
:-) Where would we be without our animals to watch?
