Winter Ball

Tess asked Bryony to come to the Ball with her.

Of course Bryony said 'Yes.'

Getting ready with their friends was half the fun.

Antony got make-up on his shirt before the girls had any on their faces!

But everything came together

with the help of a few hairpins.

Then it was time for a pre-ball gathering,

where lots of proud parents insisted on group photos,

including a frock line-up.

Before the kids headed off in a pink party bus to dance the night away.

The frock photo is like a rainbow. I am sure a wonderful time was had by all.

A rainbow on a freezing winter's night. Yes, Bryony certainly had a good time :-)

Looks like a very fine evening lay ahead... The shine of youth !

The Sagittarian: She's at Avonside isn't she. Yes all the schools seem to be having their balls around now.

Owen: The shine of youth indeed. Seeing all the parents of my generation, even one I was at primary school with, makes me realise how much we children of the 50s and 60s have aged!

Oh to be X years old again!

Delightful event delightfully photographed! Was only thrown briefly by "Winter Ball" before remembering our seasons are yours inside out or, don't tell me, I'll get it!

Jeneane said...

Cro Magnon; Ah yes but with a little more confidence in my case.

Geo: Why thank you. I do enjoy setting out with my camera and seeing whether I have the makings of an essay at the end of the day. The seasons are a bit of a mental challenge for bloggers aren't they. You can visit all four seasons plus extremes in one reading session :-)

Not long now till they move on to the next stage - like your own daughter, out exploring the World :-)
